Makeup Mayfest Day 5

If you are that girl that is guilty of laying in the tanning bed every spring so when
you pull out that first spring dress you look like you've just come back from days at the beach
then stay tuned for a better and instant way to get tan.

There is something about having a good healthy glow that makes us all feel better.
Thinner, prettier, healthy, etc. I used to lay in the tanning bed every spring, but have found
some alternatives that I think are great.

I have two favorite tanners. One for all over body and the other for just your face.

St. Tropez bronzing mousse (right) is sold at Sephora and is the best tanning
product out there! Hands down. I have recommended this to so many people and everyone
loves it. It gives the most natural looking tan that adjusts to your skintone. Not only does
it adjust to your skin, but it is also build-able so you can get the desired color you want.

The other great thing about St. Tropez is that your tan is instant. Once applied it dries in
a couple minutes and you can jet out the door for an event, date, girls night out, and WAM
BAM thank you mam you look like you just got back from the Caribbean.

Another tip I will say for St. Tropez is the longer you can leave it on without showering
the better. Apply it at night and sleep on it. Or, apply it at night, where it out and about and if you
can get a little dirty wait until the following night to shower. I know that is a big stretch for
some of you, but if you know you are going to be lounging around the house all day just leave
it on as long as possible. The longer is stays on before showering the better effects you will have
with longevity.

The Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning lotion is also sold at Sephora and is
designed specifically for your face and decolletage. It's a moisturizer with subtle tanners
that make for a beautiful natural tan on your face that doesn't look overdone.

The same is true for Clarins as St. Tropez with leaving it on as long as you can.
I suggest applying this at night to a clean face and letting it soak in all night.

These are both top of the line high end tanners that I love and will continue to
re-purchase because of the quality and look that these both give.

What are your favorite self tanners?

Christmas Reveals

A product I have been getting a lot of use out of these cold months is my new:
Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning for my face/neck.

This is a very subtle face tanner that moisturizes your skin while leaving a soft
touch of color. It's lightweight and has a little bit of a tan smell. I have been applying
this at night before bed and then have a nice healthy glow when I wake up.

If you are looking for a dark beach kind of tan this is not the product for you. You can tell a difference
and the product is build able... so the more layers you apply and if you chose to apply every
night you are going to get more color. But, this is designed to be a natural healthy looking
color for your face!

This retails at Sephora for $32. It's a great pick me up product when you are feeling
a little Casper like.

What tanners do you enjoy using?

Wednesday Wishes- Face Tanner

It's WEDNESDAY and you know what that means... time to find out what I
am wishing for this week.

If you know your mom ordered this for you online does it still count as a wish?!?!
Well, anyway I know this has been purchased, but it's not in my possession so it's a wish for
now and I can't WAIT to get my hands on this.

I don't know about you, but my skin is so ghostly, pasty, lifeless, insert word of choice
for winter skin and it just makes me feel so blah somedays. So, I discovered a product
that will provide a natural hint of color to my face/neck without looking too overdone in the
winter. Not only is it a liquid self tanner, but it's also by a company that prides itself in being
a European skincare leader for decades so I know I'm putting a good product with good ingredients
on my at the moment very sensitive skin. :) WIN, WIN!

    Liquid Bronze Self Tanning

What it is:
A refreshing, lightweight milky self-tanning lotion.

What it is formulated to do:
This refreshing, lightweight milk-lotion provides an easy, fast way to develop a natural-looking, bronzed effect for the face and décolleté.

What else you need to know:
This product is allergy tested and non comedogenic.

I love that it is described as being a "lightweight milky lotion." That just makes me want to
put it on my skin during a dry season. I think self tanners especially on your face can often
make your skin look more dry, so it's nice to know that this tanner is so moisturizing.

I have read a lot of reviews on this and it seems to be a subtle tanner so if you have a bit
of a tan going on then this may not be the product for you. However, if you are like me I have
zero tan right now and want something that is very natural looking and will give my skin a
healthy glow and color.

This bottle is specifically formulated for the face/decollete area so I don't know how effective
it would be if you tried to put on your arms or legs. This tanner retails at Sephora for
$34 for a 4.2 oz bottle.

Does this self tanner interest you?!

Microwave Tan

I'm sure most of you are familiar with Jergens Natural Glow lotions.
Have you seen or tried their new Express line?

I have both the fair to medium bottle and the medium to dark.
My skin tone varies especially this time of the year... I can get
really dark when I stay out in the sun so I wanted them both.

This Express line is FANTASTIC! It literally works overnight. It is designed to
get you where you want to be in three days.I always put tanning lotion
like this on at night b/c it doesn't smell that great. I don't want to smell like these lotions during the day so it works well to apply at night.

These are great as a tan extender if you have been to the beach, had
a spray tan, or just been out in the sun. They work great to build a tan for
this summer or a special event you may have and need a healthy glow FaSt!!

Happy Fake Tanning!
