Weekend Rewind, What's in my Bag?

Well, Hello Blog World...

It's been ummmm, quite a while since I have sat down with you and had a chat.
I've been so unmotivated to blog lately... not sure why, but that apathy has set in as it
does. However, I did pick up some beauty goods this weekend and wanted to share.

I am almost out of my Fresh Soy Cleanser and I absolutely love what it
does for my skin, but it's $38 for 5 oz which is steep. I decided when I was out
I would go back to the Purity Cleanser by Philosophy b/c you really
get more bang for your buck and it's a great cleanser.

This 16 oz bottle was $33 and the great thing about Purity is it is a one step
cleanser. It is a PH balanced cleanser that dissolves dirt and makeup while
cleansing pores. It is one of the best selling cleansers on the market and is for
all skin types. It has a nice clean spa type smell.

I'm almost out of dry shampoo and picked up a can of the Batiste sassy and daring
scent. Rarrrrrr! Never tried this can and I love some leopard print so why not!

I have been hearing so many great things about Mario Badescu skincare products.
They are sold at Ulta and their line began in a New York salon with botanically based
ingredients. Their line is loved by many celebs, but super affordable for the every
day gals.

I don't have an eye cream in my skincare routine right now so decided I would start
with the Ceramide Herbal Eye Cream that contains Vitamin C and reduces
the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  This retails at Ulta for $16 and contains
.05 oz.

While also being out of exfoliator I picked up the Clinique
7 day scrub which is an oldie but a goodie. This is gentle enough
for daily use and is just a great staple to have in your skincare routine.

Guys, I have a lippie problem. I seriously cannot stop buying lipsticks and glosses
lately. OB-FLIPPIN-SESSED. I've been wanting a light coral/peach lippie and while
also being curious in the new Kardashian KHROMA line I decided to pick up this joystick
in the color Sea Coral and it is gorgeous. It also smells like Vanilla which I love. If you own any
MAC lipsticks they will have a familiar scent.

This color reminded me of Kourtney. She always wears a light peach on her lips with a smoky
eye and it's so pretty. Her makeup looks are by far my favorite of the girls. She just looks
so put together in a not overdone way to me.
These retail for $8.99 and have more of a matte finish.

Did you shop any this weekend? I know you did.. tell me what you bought!

Makeup Mayfest Day 12

I have been a major slacker with my Makeup Mayfest posts....
ahhhh, work has been really busy and I'm leaving for the beach this weekend and
just have had so much to do.

Lame excuse, right? I know... we are all busy.

Today I thought I would share my favorite skincare products I've been using.
Skincare is something that I really used to not spend that much time with, but as
I am approaching 30 (ahhhhhh) it's become much more of a priority for me.

Products...

I like to start out with getting my makeup off with either a wipe (any will work) or
my Bioderma.  Bioderma is a French product that is a water based solution that
is really gentle at removing makeup and cleansing the skin.

You can find this at Amazon for around $25.

Once I've got the makeup off step 2 is cleansing my skin with my Fresh
Soy Cleanser (sold @ Sephora and friggin love) along with my Clarisonic
for a deeper clean and exfoliation.

I don't always tone after cleansing, but when I do I absolutely LOVE this
one by Seacret. It smells so wonderful and clean and it doesn't burn
or leave any harsh feeling on your skin at all. I love using this for just the
most refreshing clean feeling. mmmmmm.

You may remember Seacret products as being the annoying sales people
in your local mall. The ones that will practically walk you out the door still trying
to get you to try their lotions or sea salts. Yeah, them.

BUT, they do have really good stuff that is from the dead sea. I'm not really sure
how that happens, but I believe them. I think. ha.

You can also find Seacret products on Amazon. And for a lot cheaper. shhh.

The last thing I do is take off my eyemake up with the off brand of Neutrogena
oil free remover. After that I follow up with my brand new Skin Medica Retinol Complex (I just got
this from a dermatologist) followed by my sheer transformation lotion from Ole
Henriksen (stuff is awesome).

Do you use a Retinol? I've heard that it's amazing for anti-aging and everyone should
start making it apart of their routine starting in your late 20s. I'm excited to use
this one since it's a rx strength from a doc office.

What's your skincare look like?

Product of the Day- St. Ives

This is a product I'm sure everyone is familiar with, but I have
enjoyed rediscovering this the last few months!

St. Ives Apricot Scrub has to be one of the best and most affordable exfoliaters in the
drugstore today. It's been around forever, has fresh natural ingredients, smells
GREAT, and even tastes good too! ha. When I am using this scrub around
my mouth I will often get some product around my lips and have done a taste test...
and approve!

This is an exfoliater for your skin that claims to prevent blackheads and minimize
pores. My goal is to try to use this every other day to see if I notice a difference in my
pores around my cheeks and mouth. That seems to be my problem area. I like that
the apricot scrub is more of a hearty exfoliater. What I mean by that is that it's gentle
enough for daily use, but it's not so gentle that you don't feel and notice it's doing it's
job. There are some products that exfoliate (Aveeno) and the beads are so small that
you don't feel like you are getting a good scrub in.

My skin does feel super soft after using this scrub... as it would with most any
exfoliater. The things I like most about St. Ives Apricot scrub is the price tag,
the smell and, the consistency of the product.

Have you tried this scrub?!

Christmas Reveals

A product I have been getting a lot of use out of these cold months is my new:
Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning for my face/neck.

This is a very subtle face tanner that moisturizes your skin while leaving a soft
touch of color. It's lightweight and has a little bit of a tan smell. I have been applying
this at night before bed and then have a nice healthy glow when I wake up.

If you are looking for a dark beach kind of tan this is not the product for you. You can tell a difference
and the product is build able... so the more layers you apply and if you chose to apply every
night you are going to get more color. But, this is designed to be a natural healthy looking
color for your face!

This retails at Sephora for $32. It's a great pick me up product when you are feeling
a little Casper like.

What tanners do you enjoy using?

Christmas Reveals Day 3

I'm back with another post about some beauty goodies I got for Christmas.

I was no stranger to the Ole Henriksen skincare line since I had tried their 3 little wonders
set a couple years ago.

Sephora's description on the brand is this:

Nature, science, beauty, and wellness. These four key elements are behind every Ole Henriksen product, making it a total lifestyle line and a true depiction of the man behind the brand. Ole (pronounced "ooh-lah") Henriksen's studies in cosmetic chemistry, and hands-on experience treating some of Hollywood's most famous complexions at his Los Angeles spa, have resulted in the ultimate in at-home luxury—skincare that treats the face and body while helping to achieve overall health and wellness. What we love most? Just like his sought-after spa treatments, every Ole Henriksen product is an absolute treat for the senses—they smell delicious and feel sensational.

Two of the products that I loved from set I asked for this year for Christmas are
the Sheer Transformation, and Invigorating Night Gel.

These retail each at Sephora for $45. A little steep for moisturizer and gel, but that's why
I put it on my Wishlist.

The Sheer transformation is absolutely the most silky moisturizer I've ever felt or put
on my face. It literally melts right into your skin like butter. It's amazing! My skin feels
refreshed after I use it. No oily or greasy like other moisturizers may leave you feeling... just
very clean, fresh, and light! LOVE!

The invigorating night gel is a really unique product in that it not only works towards vanishing
fine lines and wrinkles, but also has ingredients that work towards diminishing break outs
and dark spots. This little baby is also packed with vitamins and minerals.

These both get great reviews as they should for the price tag, but I can tell a difference
in my skin when I use these on a regular basis.

For my detailed information go to Sephora.com.
I would definitely repurchase either one of these.

Have you tried this brand before?

Christmas Reveals Day 1

I'm back... for a quick post on some beauty goodies I got over Christmas.
I'm going to try to blog on Christmas items over the next few days, but bare with me as I
am starting a new job tomorrow and things are going to get crazy busy.

Today's item is a skincare product by Fresh that I had requested.

The Soy Face Cleanser is a product I had been familiar with since my mom used this
wash some last year. I tried it a few times and was impressed by how gentle it was and left my skin
feeling so soft and moisturized and super clean.

After hearing one of my favorite Youtube Beauty Guru's do a skincare routine video and this
wash was apart of her daily routine I added it to my Beauty Christmas Wishlist.

I have been using it since Christmas and absolutely love! A small dab goes a long way. It lathers
well and again leaves my skin feeling wonderful after finishing.

This is the number one cleanser sold at Sephora and retails there for $38 in the 5.1 oz
bottle that I have.

Sephora's description of this wash:

What it is:
A multitasking gel that gently removes impurities and makeup.

What it is formulated to do:
The Soy Face Cleanser from Fresh instantly whisks away everyday impurities and makeup—even mascara—without stripping the skin of essential moisture. Rich in amino acids, soy proteins promote moisture retention, elasticity, and firmness. Rosewater balances and tones the skin. Fragrance-free and soap-free, calming cucumber extract and nourishing borage seed oil enriches its formula.

There are few washes that I try and just instantly love and can tell a big difference in. Most washes
do about the same thing for your skin. However, this cleaner is different. It is one that stands out
and my skin thanks me for after using. Love this and it will definitely be a repurchase.

Have you tried the Fresh line?!

Wednesday Wishes- Face Tanner

It's WEDNESDAY and you know what that means... time to find out what I
am wishing for this week.

If you know your mom ordered this for you online does it still count as a wish?!?!
Well, anyway I know this has been purchased, but it's not in my possession so it's a wish for
now and I can't WAIT to get my hands on this.

I don't know about you, but my skin is so ghostly, pasty, lifeless, insert word of choice
for winter skin and it just makes me feel so blah somedays. So, I discovered a product
that will provide a natural hint of color to my face/neck without looking too overdone in the
winter. Not only is it a liquid self tanner, but it's also by a company that prides itself in being
a European skincare leader for decades so I know I'm putting a good product with good ingredients
on my at the moment very sensitive skin. :) WIN, WIN!

                             clarins

    Liquid Bronze Self Tanning

What it is:
A refreshing, lightweight milky self-tanning lotion.

What it is formulated to do:
This refreshing, lightweight milk-lotion provides an easy, fast way to develop a natural-looking, bronzed effect for the face and décolleté.

What else you need to know:
This product is allergy tested and non comedogenic.

I love that it is described as being a "lightweight milky lotion." That just makes me want to
put it on my skin during a dry season. I think self tanners especially on your face can often
make your skin look more dry, so it's nice to know that this tanner is so moisturizing.

I have read a lot of reviews on this and it seems to be a subtle tanner so if you have a bit
of a tan going on then this may not be the product for you. However, if you are like me I have
zero tan right now and want something that is very natural looking and will give my skin a
healthy glow and color.

This bottle is specifically formulated for the face/decollete area so I don't know how effective
it would be if you tried to put on your arms or legs. This tanner retails at Sephora for
$34 for a 4.2 oz bottle.

Does this self tanner interest you?!

Wednesday Wishes

Happy Hump Day!
Half way through this week... : )

I feel like I have talked a lot about skincare lately, but if you are anything like me
your skin just goes a little bonkers in fall/winter months. Whether it's breakouts or just dry
flaky skin this time of the year can be rough for a girls outer layer!

I haven't heard about this brand at all until recently and after reading reviews it's going to
have to be a must have for me this winter. Put it on your Christmas wish lists b/c this one
looks like a goodie!

I feel like most of us are pretty good about exfoliating our face on a somewhat regular basis,
but often neglect our body. This seems like such a great routine for healthy glowing skin
this upcoming winter!

Step 1:

Soap & Glory - The Scrub Of Your Life™

Soap & Glory The Scrub of Your Life

What it is:
A super-smoothing body buffer.

What it does:
Use this buffer to smooth the body, from rough elbows and dry shins to the backs of your arms. Its alluring scent of Soap & Glory's signature Pink Fragrance combines fresh bergamot and mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber, woody notes and warm vanilla musk, amber, and warm vanilla notes on the bottom.

The scrub is $16 and is sold at Sephora.

Step 2:

Soap & Glory - The Righteous Body Butter

Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter

What it is:
An award-winning body moisturizing butter with softening shea butter and aloe vera.

What it does:
This body butter was formulated for very dry skin with a new dynamic moisture trap matrix to help hold hydration in longer. Its alluring scent of Soap & Glory's signature Pink Fragrance combines fresh bergamot and mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber, woody notes and amber and warm vanilla notes on the bottom.

The Body Butter retails for $18 for 10.1 oz

How cute is the packaging?! I'm curious to get into Sephora and actually feel the texture of the
body butter. I am so particular about lotions and creams. I can't stand anything that feels
too thick. I want something that is light weight, buttery, and will melt into my skin. I
hate having to rub and rub a chalky white lotion into my skin. If I grab this I will for
sure keep you updated with some reviews!

Have a great day!

Weekend Rewind, What's in my Bag?

Hey Everyone. I hope you had a great weekend. I grabbed a few things
this weekend beauty related and wanted to pass along.

I've been curious about the Loreal 360 clean cleanser with the
exfoliating and pore cleansing sponger for a while now.

I decided to try it out this weekend and see if it's something that may be a skin care
staple.

I love the packaging and how the pore cleansing sponge pops in and out of
the bottle. The sponge is really fun to use. It's got a nice soft texture and makes for a fun
experience to cleanse... you really feel like you are giving your skin a better and deeper cleanse.

Retails for around $6.

I needed a new base and top coat polish and have heard great things about the
Revlon Colorstay line and how long lasting and glossy these polishes give
your nails. I did use on Friday night and was impressed.

These retail for around $7, but Revlon usually has buy one get one 50% off.

MORE MAKE-UP WIPES!!! You guys know how much I love my wipes. I am
almost out of my Burt's Bee wipes and decided to go back to the Yes to Cucumbers. I have
used these several times and love how gentle they are and the cucumber fresh smell they have.

So, that's what was in my bag this weekend, what did you pick up?!

Wednesday Wishes- Skincare

I know I have mentioned this before, but my skin tends to need some serious 911
in fall/winter months. I don't know why, but my skin tends to break out so much more this
time of the year. Maybe it's the lack of sunshine... or maybe it's me and my diet.

But, there are a few products on my wish list for new skin care products that I want to
try out and see how my skin responds to.

As far washes there are two:

Bioderma is a French product that is mostly sold in Europe, but you can buy
it on Amazon. It is a very mild non rinse face and eye cleaner. It doesn't require
water and you just use a few cotton balls to clean all the make up off your face.

I'm heard many great things about this product and the benefits it has of clearing up
break outs as well as maintaining clear skin.

Retails for $26 for the largest bottle.

Fresh is a brand that is sold at Sephora and is known for several bestselling products.
One of them being the Soy Face Cleanser. It is rich in amino acids, soy proteins promoting
moisture retention, elasticity, and firmness. It is fragrance free and soap free.

It's a very gentle cleanser which can be really good for calming skin that is
broken out.

My mom has used this wash for a while now and really likes it.
This baby is a goodie. Ole Henriksen is another line sold at Sephora. Their Invigorating
night gel is described as a lightweight gel that stimulates cell turnover, exposing a younger firmer
looking complexion. A soothing moisture barrier instantly seals in essential vitamins and
minerals.

I used this product last year and really enjoyed it. It not only provides ingredients to fight
aging, but also has ingredients that help fight against break outs. This gel does sting just
a little when applied, but it's a good sting because cell turnover is working.

So, who wants to buy me these things and have it shipped to my door?!?!

Product of the Day- Simple Skincare

Today's product of the day is brought to you by Simple. This is a skincare line that is sold
at drugstores and Target. They market themselves as being "the sensitive skin experts" and
their products claim to be infused with vitamins and minerals that are good for your skin.

A few months ago I picked up a few of their goodies and was impressed with all but one
thing.

I will start with my favorite product, the refreshing facial wash gel. This stuff is amazing, guys.
I feel like it gets my face so squeaky clean without drying out my skin. It foams up very
nicely (which is always a plus for me... it makes me feel like I am really getting clean.)

It is fragrance free so which is also nice for sensitive gals!

With the wash I also purchased the cleansing facial wipes and the eye make up remover.
Nothing but good things to say about the wipes. I mean it's really hard to mess this up. It's pretty basic.
But, they get the job done and are also fragrance free. I am a big fan of make up remover wipes.
This is apart of my daily skincare routine. I like to use these to get all my makeup off and then follow
up with a wash or cleanser to really clean my skin and pores.

Now, onto my disappointment. I was not impressed nor a fan of the eye make up remover at ALL!
Let me preface this with saying that I do typically wear primer, shadow, mascara, and a good liner on
my eyes. So, there is a lot to remove I suppose, but this baby just did not get the job done well. I had
to really rub (which is something I don't want to do in my eye area) to get things off and I still had a lot of leftovers the next morning. This is not something I would repurchase obviously. My favorite
eye m/u remover is Neutrogena oil free. You get everything off in just a swipe or two and never
have to tug or pull. It leaves my eyes with a very clean and even refreshed feeling.

Overall I really like this line and would try more of their products.

What drugstore skincare products are you liking?!

Weekend Rewind, What's in my Bag?

Hello Hello! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty eventful. Friday night was spent with some
of my girlies with dinner and a movie. We went to see the new Nicholas Sparks movie with
Zac Efron, The Lucky One. I should do another whole post of my awful thoughts of that movie.
In a nutshull... none of us liked it. Bad acting. No chemistry between the characters. And overall
just no emotional connection. I was SOO disappointed. :(

Saturday and Sunday were spent celebrating birthday's! I love birthdays. I am a HUGE birthday
person. Yes, I am that girl that plans my own birthday parties b/c I know no one else will
and it's so much fun! What other day do you get to celebrate a whole day of YOU?!
My friend Alison makes fun of me ALL THE TIME for being like that, but she's coming around.
She actually planned the best Curious George party yesterday for her little boy who turned 3.
I was so proud of her and all the effort she put into it!

Anywhoo, some Express goodies were in my bag this weekend. I had several coupons for being
a card holder on top of a reward card they sent me. I found these cropped colored Zelda skinny jeans.
I bought the outfit below on Saturday and wore it out Saturday night for my friend Matt's
birthday party. I loved the jeans so much that I went back on Sunday for another pair! I still had
more coupons that were valid so I ended up getting a really good deal on these.

LOVE this teal color called "Blue Dazzle." They fit so great and I love the
cropped cut for summer!

The top I have on was also from Express. I don't really know how to describe it. It's a silver
tank with a crochet type overlay. It's dressier. Fun. I like it.

So, yeah like I said after wearing the teal ones out on Saturday and knowing I still had a coupon
that was good I went back Sunday and grabbed another pair!! This colbalt blue color is called
"Celestial Blue."

The hot pink baggy shirt is from Express. I actually wanted this shirt in the white
to go with the blue, but they didn't have my size. I thought the hot pink would be a fun
and playful color for summer. I kind of like it with the blue.

LOVIN these pants. They retail for $69 and they also had red, orange, and white
in the store. May have other colors online.

My mom is notorious for buying Groupons and giving them to me. She is a
Groupon nut! So, she had bought a microdermabrasion groupon for a spa here in town and
it expired next week. She asked if I wanted to use it, but honestly I had that done
last year and it was not a pleasant experience. Yes, I know it's good for your skin, but
I just didn't want it done right now.

Anywhoo, they let me use the groupon for actual skincare products they sell in the
store so I cashed it in for this retinol eye treatment cream.  As you can see they come
in individual capsules that you break open. I don't have any kind of eye cream so
I am excited to have something to use.

I don't know anything about this line. I'm sure it's just a fancy spa product. There are 60
capsules inside and it retailed for $61!! Yikes.

spacer.gif

So, that's my weekend. I hope you had a superb one. My ten year high school reunion is
NEXT WEEKEND. Holy Moly. How in the heck has it been ten years?! Stay tuned
this week for outfit reveals of what I'm going to wear... I think! ha!

Happy Monday!

Christmas Reveals (Day 5)

So, I have been so horrible at blogging lately, right? My mind has just not
been into it lately. I try to do better, but I fail. I need a good boost of motivation.

I'm not going to say much about this post because I talked more in detail about this in
my Dear Santa posts. The Skinsonic is basically the same concept as the
Clarisonic that Sephora sells.
It is a cleaning system for your face. It is great for your pores, deep cleaning and removing
all the make-up and dirt off your face, as well as moisturizing and exfoliating.

So, as you can see the Skinsonic comes with 5 heads!!! The blue head is for cleaning
sensitive skin, the black is for a deeper cleaning, the two in the middle with soft
heads are for getting your moisturizer into your skin and exfoliating and the
one on the end is a massage head.

The Skinsonic is such a great value. You get the 5 heads, the device, and the
holding case.

The Clairisonic sold at Sephora is $150 plus... sheesh. I've never used it so I can't
really compare how this one performs to it, but I really love it. I've been using it
every night (when I'm not too tired and lazy) and I can really tell a difference in my
skin. It looks cleaner and shinier and just more smooth.

Sirius Beauty also has some options for acne and anti-aging that you may
be interested in looking at. Click here for more info.

Have a SIRIUSLY awesome weekend!

Dear Santa (Day 2)

Dearest Santa,
As you know I recently had a facial that was not the most enjoyable thing ever.
I did however become informed that I need to be using a deeper cleansing technique
to decrease the size of my pores, prevent blackheads and breakouts, and
make my skin look more youthful.

So, with all that said I have found the perfect tool that you can bring me on Christmas
morning. It is the Skinsonic Skincare System. You will be so proud to know that I have
found a MUCH more affordable alternative to the highly sought after "Clarisonic"
from Sephora that retails for $150.

Santa, this retails for $49 and it comes with SO much more than the Clarisonic.
For $49 I get 5 different heads!! I will get normal, sensitive, exfoliation, hydration,
and toning brush head!!

I think this will be a lovely addition to my skincare routine and I would be one holly
jolly little girl to get this.

Dear Santa (Day 1)

So, I know I promised I would do better about blog posts and I have not been very
committed to that promise. I have found that I am in a apathetic funk right now...
and I think I've been there for a while. There are many things in my life right now that I just
don't care much about. I have a whatever, I don't care kind of attitude. It's not like
I am miserable or unhappy or anything like that, but just very unmotivated and I am going to
have to find a way to change that soon. I need some change in a few areas of my life and I need
to be committed to make that happen!

So, there you have a quick mini update on me.

I thought I would do several posts in December about gift ideas that involve things
that I personally would love to receive for Christmas!

I traveled to Mexico over Thanksgiving with my Mom and Nana to celebrate my mom turning
50 this month. It's a fun girly trip that we have been planning for over a year now. We
went to Playa del Carmen and stayed at The Royal. It was such a lovely luxurious
trip. Beautiful!

The last day we were there I had a facial. When you think of a facial don't
the words relaxing, therapeutic, and tranquil come to mind? Well, think again if
you sign up for a cleansing facial. For an hour long appointment I can honestly say
that half of that time was spent in pain. Picking blackheads and impurities out of my skin!
OUCH!!! It hurt so bad at one point I was about to grab her pretty little hand out of my
face and say THAT'S ENOUGH! I'M DONE! IF YOU DON'T MAKE THIS SOMEWHAT
RELAXING I'M OUT OF HERE! But, of course I didn't. I'm sweet... just sat there
and took it like a woman and said... "I'm fine." ha.

So, she used these products on me that you probably have heard of if you have ever
had spa treatment. The brand is called Pevonia. She recommended several products
to me; a cleanser and cream that would help my skintype. She explained to me that
I am oily basically in my Tzone, but a bit dry around my cheeks.

So, the line she recommended to me was to help prevent blackheads as well as fight and
treat them.

Pevonia Combination Skin Cleanser.
Retails for $28.50
Key Ingredients:

Grapefruit Essential Oil
Safflower Oil
Rosemary
Lemon
Horsetail

Combination Skin Cream
Retails for $48.50
Key Ingredients:

Hazel Nut Oil
Aloe
Tocopherol (vitamin E)
Cucumber
Arnica
Lemongrass

If you know any of Santa's elves pass the word along to him that I would
LOVE to try this skincare line!

Happy Holidays!!

Weekend Rewind. What's in my Bag?

I am skipping my iTUNESday for today and maybe for a while... who knows!

Time for Weekend Rewind, What's in my Bag?
Your going to be disappointed that I actually didn't have any cute clothes,
accessories, or make-up, but did have some fun memories!

My sweet friend, Lonnie, came over Friday night for pizza and a movie
and I coaxed her into doing a Lush mask with me! We chose to do the
Brazened Honey that claims to polish skin that is in serious need of a boost.
If you didn't read my Lush Haul post... this is a cosmetic store that hand makes
products with fresh all natural ingredients.

So, this is my second mask I have tried that I bought and I have to say I'm not just
sold on them. They are very different b/c they have to be refrigerated b/c the ingredients
are so fresh. I love that part of it, but the consistency is very chunky and a bit messy.
I guess I was expecting greater results... I wanted my skin to just feel amazing, soft,
and bright. hmmm. Maybe my expectations are too high for a $6.95 mask.

We are goofy! I love my Lonns! She is like the baby sister
I never had! We are the same person in many ways!

Then Saturday I went to Morgan Creek Vineyards for the annual
Grape Stomp and wine tasting! This was my first year to go and it was
such a great day! Perfect weather and great atmosphere.
For those of you that are not aware... Morgan Creek is a vineyard/winery in
Harpersville, AL that produces muscadine wine. You can buy their wines at
Publix and other grocery stores across the state.

Here is Alison getting ready to go into the tasting. Doesn't she look
SO cute!

This was the bucket of stomped grapes that we shared!
Ya'll it was the nastiest feeling ever!

We decided to share a bucket to be cute! This is us stomping away!

Our feetsies after. YUCK! If your wondering what shades we have
on our toes.

And again...

What a goofball! She HAD to frolic around.

Saturday night I went over to my friend Valerie's house and got to meet
her oh so sweet aunt Ida Sue who has started selling a skincare line by Rodan and Fields.
You may know them as being the dermatologists that founded Pro-Active for acne
prone skin. Well, they have developed a new line that targets more mature skin and
your skin type. So, this was kind of like a product launch party.

As you can see above they classify your skin into categories of reverse, anti-aging,
unblemish, and smoothe based on a quick 5 question survey describing your skin
and problem areas.

This is my friend Val... she is AWESOME! Love this girl. We used
to work together and I forgot how much I missed her and all our "talks" about
life and relationships and different perspectives. BUT, lucky for us we have
totally reconnected lately and it's been SO much fun!

Anyway, what she is doing in this pic is a technique they call "Rolling." This blue
device she is using is actually patented by Rodan and Fields. You use this device after
you have cleansed your face. With comfortable pressure you roll your entire face and
neck 4-10 times changing directions. After rolling you would then apply the serum or night
cream.

So, why roll? What is the point of this?
It is designed to amp up your anti aging results. It is non-invasive skincare roller clinically
proven to safely and effectively condition the uppermost layers of the skin to allow
for maximum benefits.

What does it feel like?
VERY interesting! Don't quote me on this, but I think this device has some kind of needles
in it so it has this tingly feeling that in a way is kind of like a finger prick, which I know
does not sound very pleasant to put on your face, but it doesn't hurt.
Doing this technique allows your creams and serums to not just sit on the surface of your
skin, but go inside where needed.

Another interesting fact:
This product was named by The Today Show as one of Best Anti-Aging Products
for 2011. :) I love The Today Show so this makes me happy!

NOT!! Val just let me where her gorgeous ring during the party!

It was a fun weekend! Good times. Good friends. Great memories.
Thank you God for richly blessing my life.
