Weekend Rewind, What's in my Bag?

Well, Hello Blog World...

It's been ummmm, quite a while since I have sat down with you and had a chat.
I've been so unmotivated to blog lately... not sure why, but that apathy has set in as it
does. However, I did pick up some beauty goods this weekend and wanted to share.

I am almost out of my Fresh Soy Cleanser and I absolutely love what it
does for my skin, but it's $38 for 5 oz which is steep. I decided when I was out
I would go back to the Purity Cleanser by Philosophy b/c you really
get more bang for your buck and it's a great cleanser.

This 16 oz bottle was $33 and the great thing about Purity is it is a one step
cleanser. It is a PH balanced cleanser that dissolves dirt and makeup while
cleansing pores. It is one of the best selling cleansers on the market and is for
all skin types. It has a nice clean spa type smell.

I'm almost out of dry shampoo and picked up a can of the Batiste sassy and daring
scent. Rarrrrrr! Never tried this can and I love some leopard print so why not!

I have been hearing so many great things about Mario Badescu skincare products.
They are sold at Ulta and their line began in a New York salon with botanically based
ingredients. Their line is loved by many celebs, but super affordable for the every
day gals.

I don't have an eye cream in my skincare routine right now so decided I would start
with the Ceramide Herbal Eye Cream that contains Vitamin C and reduces
the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  This retails at Ulta for $16 and contains
.05 oz.

While also being out of exfoliator I picked up the Clinique
7 day scrub which is an oldie but a goodie. This is gentle enough
for daily use and is just a great staple to have in your skincare routine.

Guys, I have a lippie problem. I seriously cannot stop buying lipsticks and glosses
lately. OB-FLIPPIN-SESSED. I've been wanting a light coral/peach lippie and while
also being curious in the new Kardashian KHROMA line I decided to pick up this joystick
in the color Sea Coral and it is gorgeous. It also smells like Vanilla which I love. If you own any
MAC lipsticks they will have a familiar scent.

This color reminded me of Kourtney. She always wears a light peach on her lips with a smoky
eye and it's so pretty. Her makeup looks are by far my favorite of the girls. She just looks
so put together in a not overdone way to me.
These retail for $8.99 and have more of a matte finish.

Did you shop any this weekend? I know you did.. tell me what you bought!

Spring Make-up

Every season brings the opportunity to transform your make-up into a new
look. There are easy, subtle, and inexpensive ways to give yourself a fresh look
without breaking the bank.

Here are my favorite 5 ways to get my spring on:

1. Blush:
Pick a brighter pink or coral blush
My picks: Maybelline bouncy in Hot Tamale and Milani baked blush in Corallina

2. Highlighter:
Switch to a cream product that will give your face a more dewy finish
My pick: Jemma Kidd All Over Radiance Cream in Rose Gold

3. Eyeshadow:
Pick neutral colors that give the appearance you aren't wearing much.
My pick: Clinique lid smoothie in Gingerly

4. Eyeliner:
Ditch your brown or black and pick a color that will give your eyes a pop of brightness.
Try a navy or even more on trend this season green.
My picks: Merle Norman Galaxy (navy) and Urban Decay Junkie (bright emerald green)

5. Lips:
Go with a bright pink or coral. Adding a good pop of color to your lips when your eyes
are nude always works and looks so classy!
My pick: Cover Girl Jumbo Gloss balm in #235 Coral Twist

These are my favorite ways to transition into spring.
What are yours?!?!

Wednesday Wishes

I don't know about you guys, but I'm over winter. After Christmas and New Year's
I am so ready for spring/summer and the beach!

I'm feeling bright colors, tan skin, and warm weather.

So, with that said I have been taking notice of all the new spring lippies that are
coming out! I have a few that are on my wish list that I can't wait to get my hands on once
I am ready to actually wear them!

I will start with the new Clinique chubby stick intense. You may have tried the original
chubby stick that was a moisturizing color balm. I never personally bought one of these, but
did swatch them at the store. My impression was that they were not extremely pigmented and
would give a more natural look. So, I wasn't that impressed and didn't want to spend the $16
on a glorified lip balm.

BUT, now Clinique has recently released the Chubby Stick Intense moisturizing color
balm and these are a different story! I've done my research and people are loving these things.
They are highly pigmented with color and still give off the moisture you would want
with a balm. : ) yay!

The two colors that I want for spring are the Plushest Punch (raspberry pink) and the color
I am most excited about is Heftiest Hibiscus (bright coral). How pretty would that coral
be with a nude eye, some black liner, a pop of orange/coral blush and bam that bright bold
lip! I get so excited thinking about make up looks. DORK! ha.

Another lippie that I have heard great things about is in the new Maybelline Vivid Collection.
Shocking Coral is the shade that has caught my attention. I'm feeling the corals and oranges if you
can't tell for this spring/summer. Plus, I feel like brunettes with a good tan can really wear
that color well and it pops against really dark hair.

I grabbed these pictures of the internet since I don't personally own these yet.
Here is what the packaging looks like if you are interested in finding these are your local
store.

Here are four gorgeous bright pinks/corals.
Shocking coral is the 3rd from the left! It seems to be a pinky/coral that is brighter in
person than it comes off on this picture. I think if you wanted to tone it down a bit you
could add some lip balm to sheer it out.

I'm so excited for bright fun lips this spring!!! What are your favorite spring
lip colors to wear?!

New Year's FOTD

Happy 2013 Everyone!!!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a great start to your new year. I'm sorry I
have been so MIA on my blog, but with the holidays plus walking pnemonia plus the flu
made for a sickly girl and I have just been trying to rest and get back to normal.

I was very pleased with the way my make up turned out for NYE and thought
I would start the new year off with a FOTD post. Matt and I went out to dinner with a group
of friends and then off to a wedding reception party downtown. If you could have seen us
a couple hours before getting fixed up you would have said there is NO WAY those
people look or feel like going out. Still fighting the flu plus moving M in the rain all day made
for a sad pair. But, we got tough and actually had a great night. We headed out right after 12...
no time for fun... we needed our rest!

Anyway, here was my look for New Year's Eve:

Foundation: Clinique Even Better
Concealer: Revlon Photoready stick
Bronzer: Chanel Soleil Tan De
Blush: Lorac Velvet Rope
Highlighter: MAC Pearl Cream Color Base
Highlighter: MAC Soft & Gentle (powder over cream)
Eye Primer: NYX HD base
Eye Shadow: Revlon Photoready quad in Precocious
EyeLiner: Loreal Gel in Blackest Black (top)
Urban Decay Rockstar (bottom)
Mascara: Benefit They're Real
Lips: Revlon Colorburst Gloss in Bordeaux

Other beauty deets: if you can notice I have a touch of bronze
to my skin thanks to St. Tropez bronzing moose. I applied an hour
before leaving an just like that... COLOR! Love this stuff.

The thing I was trying to achieve with this look was:

A really good glow and color with highlighted skin and
and eye look that had a good shimmery purple to match my plum dress. I also wanted
a bolder lip. Here are a few of the key products that made this look.

Sparkly jewels compliments of Cache'

And New Year's kiss compliments of Mattie... ;)

I hope you had a great New Year's and have lots of plans, goals, and new perspectives for
your 2013!!

Friday Face of the Day

TGIF!!!!

Well, we made it to Friday and I hope you have fun weekend plans ahead.

Today's FOTD is going to be a three in one... product review, holiday look, and fotd.

With the Holidays right around the corner I have tried a few looks that would be fun
to wear to a Christmas party, out and about, or just chilling with your family. I like this look
because it incorporates a soft gold eye with a wearable (in my opinion) red lip. I know some
people have a hard time sporting a red lip and if you are used to wearing a more neutral lip
it is a big change, but this one to me is a little more natural.

 Face picture with a flash
(you can see the colors a bit more vibrant)

Face without a flash in natural lighting

Key products used in this look:

On my cheeks I applied Benetint, a rosy lip or cheek stain that
gives a very natural flush of color.

After applying the cheek tint I applied this light pink blush by NYX in
Rose Garden to set the liquid.

For lips I used my new Covergirl blastlipstick lip duo in Smooch.
I have been curious to try this after hearing some good reviews and seeing all the
Sofia Vergara commercials.

This lip product is unique in that it is supposed to make your lips look
3 Dimensional as you use two colors. One shade is shimmer and the other is a matte cream.
The darker shade is to be applied all over your lips and then
the lighter color to the bottom center of your lip and it's supposed to give your
lips more depth.

Darker shade in Smooch.
It's kind of a brick red. It's not a bright cherry red at all.

Lighter shade in Smooch.
Lighter peachy/pink.

I have to say I do like the blastlipstick... it's very long lasting and has more of a matte finish
which I prefer. It does make for a more unique lip with the two shades incorporated. These
retail at your drugstore for $8.

Other products used for this look:

Face:
Clinique Even Better Foundation
MAC Soft & Gentle Highlighter
(blush included above)

Eyes:
Urban Decay Naked Palette in colors Halfbaked (all over lid) and
Buck (in crease)
Loreal Gel Liner in Black
Almay Get Up and Grow Mascara

Lips:
Listed above.

Have a great weekend!

Face of the Day

It's been a while since I did a FOTD post, so thought I would give it a shot!

I recently blogged about some Revlon products I bought and thought I would incorporate
them into a FOTD so you can see how they look.

Two of these products, Revlon colorstay quad in Decadent and Revlon colorburst
gloss in Rosepearl have been some of my faves lately. Especially the gloss!! It's the most
gorgeous rose/pearl shimmery gloss that is perfect for fall. It's neutral, but yet gives a pretty
brown/rose pop of color. Love, love, love!

My Face. : )

Products used on eyes were Revlon Decadent Quad.
This quad is such a gorgeous soft neutral pink/gold color. It's soft,
feminine, and will look great with any blush or lip shade you want to throw on with it.

These quads are great b/c there are so many different ways you can wear them. Love
the gold (far right) and Cranberry (bottom right).

Great pigment and long lasting. Retails for around $7 at drugstore!

This Revlon colorburst gloss in Soft Rose has been a staple in my
make up looks this fall. Of course this color can be used anytime of the year b/c it's
so neutral, but man oh man it is so pretty on! It's got a shimmer and pearl finish that just
makes your lips look so healthy, sexy, and yummy!

I wish I had big plump lips, but I shall keep wishing.

This gloss also retails for around $7, but Revlon often has a Bogo special.

Other products used for this look:
Foundation: Clinique Even Better (loving)
Bronzer: NARS Laguna (fave)
Blush: Rimmel Autumn Catwalk
Mascara: Almay Get up and Grow (great)
Liner: Urban Decay Black

What do you think about this look?!

Friday Face of the Day

Happy Friday and start to your weekend.

It's been a lonnnnng time since I've done a FOTD post and since I seem to be on a blog
roll this week I thought I would post my latest look.

I didn't take a picture of the products used in this look... so if you want to see what they look
like just google them to get a better idea.

My favorite part of this look is for sure the eyes. I don't think this picture does justice to the
Wet n Wild "Silent Treatment" trio. I love the lid color in this palette so very much. It's a gorgeous
plum/purple taupe with a silver undertone that is a very unique color on it's own. I added the dark brown crease color on the outer edge of my eye and put the peach highlighter color under my brow.

The price of the Wet N Wild Silent Treatment trio is a whopping $2.99 at your local drugstore and
I cannot stress how incredible these shades are for the price. I can be really hesitant of cheap products
and their payoff b/c often you get what you pay for. However, Wet n Wild really does have very
good formulated, well pigmented, and lasting eyeshadows!! This is by far my favorite trio and shades
by them b/c it really is so unique and works well with my dark eyes and hair. But, the purple
taupe shade will work well with any skin/eye color. Go buy it.... NOW!! You will love it.

Ok, so on to the origins of my face.

Foundation: Clinique Stay Matte
Concealer: Estee Lauder Double Wear
Blush: Lorac Velvet Rope (great matte baked blush for fall or year round)
Highlighter: MAC Soft & Gentle
Eyes: Wet n Wild Silent Treatment
Liner: Urban Decay Zero (black)
Mascara: Almay Get up & Grow
Lips: NYX Beige gloss

Have a wonderful weekend!

Friday Face of the Day

Happy Friday and start to your weekend!!

It's been quiet a while since I've done a FOTD post and was a little inspired to do a
healthy summer glow look for this week.

There is nothing prettier to me this time of the year to see a glowy (not shiny) face that just
looks sun kissed and healthy.

Enjoy...

Foundation: Clinique Stay Matte
Highlighter: MAC Cream Color Base in Pearl and set with MAC Soft & Gentle
Bronzer: Nars Laguna
Blush: Urban Decay Bang (Bright red cream) very unique.

Eyes: Urban Decay Naked Palette
Lid: Sin ( a shimmery light pink)
Crease: Buck ( a light matte brown)
Outer Corner: Darkhorse (Dark Grey/Brown with shimmer)

Eyeliner: Urban Decay Zero (black)
Mascara: Mally Volume

Lips: Revlon Lip Butter

Hope you enjoyed this look. My favorite part is for sure the highlight on the cheeks and
shimmery eyes! It just makes such a difference in giving you that healthy summer glow. I feel
like those products take your skin from dull and boring to lively, healthy, and youthful!

Have a WONDERFUL non boring and full of life weekend!

June Faves

Haaaay Haaaay.

I am so pushing myself to do this post b/c blogging has been the furthest thing on my mind
lately. I moved into a new apartment a week ago and I have been so busy trying to get
settled and make my new place feel like home. I also got rid of all my old yucky college and post college furniture and decided to start over and it seems like all my time has been devoted to
craigslist and consignment shops and figuring out how I want to decorate.

I am planning to do a Home Decor post once I get everything in it's place and show you guys
some things I have bought and how I am decorating... or trying to. ha!

Onto beauty goodness and the things that I used a lot in the month of June. Honestly, I don't
have a ton to feature as make-up was really not on my mind at all last month.

But, a few things I have been enjoying are...

Clinque came out with a new "stay matte" foundation this summer that is oil free
and designed to control shine, oil, sweat and all the things we experience in the summer
heat.

If you have combination to oily skin then this is a perfect formula for you! I have really
loved wearing this foundation. I feel like it has a great formula that is not too thick or too matte
where your skin looks kind of cakey. The other thing I like is that a little dab goes a long way.

I typically use a buffing brush to work my foundation in, but with this I have just been applying
with my fingers and rubbing it in quickly so it doesn't dry too fast b/c it is a matte formula.

I love it. Would definitely repurchase.

I have had this Wet n Wild "Comfort Zone" palette for quiet a while now, but
just recently started using it on a daily basis. I absolutely love the left side.  As you can tell
I have hit pan on that third color down (darker bronze). I have loved using that dark bronze color
all over my lid for a smoky brown look with a black liner. Very pretty!

For a more natural soft look I like using the second color on left side that is labeled eyelid
on the lid of my eye and using the darker bronze in my crease.

Wet n Wild is super duber cheap and sold at most drugstores and I used to think their products
couldn't be any good b/c of the price, but I have been SO very impressed with their shadows.
That is really the only thing I have tried, but I love this palette along with the "Silent Treatment"
trio. It's a gorgeous lilac/taupe with a dark brown.

Not going to say much about this blush. I have mentioned it several times on here. It's Lorac
baked blush in shade Velvet Rope. It's just a gorgeous dusty rose color and it gives off a lot
of pigmentation b/c of being baked. I used this color a lot last month and found it looked
really nice with a bit of a tan.

Last year I bought a set from Mally on QVC. Mally is a celebrity make up artist and has her own
line that she sells on QVC and her website. I had quit using this mascara for a while, but came back
to it and really do love the formula and volume and length this baby gives. It's a more dry
formula which I prefer b/c I find the wetter mascaras clump, smear, and are just in general more messy.
If you are wanting to try out a new mascara along with some of her other products then I would check
out her website. She has some awesome sets where you can try out several things and it's very
affordable.

I cannot believe it is already July!!!! Where is this year going?! Sheesh Louise.

Hope to be back soon....
I am so tired of furniture shopping!!!!!

Weekend Rewind. What's in my Bag?

Happy Monday and start of lent week for those of you who will be
practicing this year.

This will be my last "What's in my Bag" post for about 6 weeks because I have
decided to give up SHOPPING for Lent this year. AGHHH!! It is going to be
SO very challenging and I'm not sure I can do it, but I think it's what I need to do. I'm going
to do a post this week on more details of why I decided to give this up for Lent and my
guidelines for what it will consist of. So, look for that if your interested.

So, a few things I picked up this weekend are as follows:

I had a gift card to Macy's left over from Christmas and decided to finish it off with
a few Clinique items. My pores around the apples of my cheeks have really grossed
me out lately. Maybe I just haven't payed attention before, but I feel like they
have gotten bigger. Anywhoo, talked to the lady at Clinique counter and she
recommended this to me and said it can also serve as a foundation primer.

The good thing about the serum is it not only conceals the size of your pores when
applied , but it actually has ingredients in it that treats the problem as well. So, in
6-8 weeks the sizes of your pores should be reduced. yay!

I have been using the Philosophy skincare line after getting for Christmas and am
loving the Purity facewash along with Hope in a Jar moisturizer. When talking to
the Clinqiue lady about my pores she asked me how often I was exfoliating?! And
I really haven't been. So, she said you need to bump up that to 3-4 times a week.

To keep things consistent with the brand I am already using I decided to jump in
Sephora and grab the Philosophy Exfoliating Wash. OH. MY. WORD. do I
love this wash!! It is one of the most gentle exfoliating scrubs I have ever used
on my face. It feels amazing and has a very light clean smell.

This retails for $25 in the 8 oz container I picked up, but if you aren't interested in
paying that much Aveeno has a Skin Brightening Daily Scrub that I think
is very comparable and can be bought at your drugstore.

Lastly, is the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in this Eggplant color
called Aubergine. I don't think I have ever used a gel liner and decided to try
this brand after being so impressed with their new Color Tattoo shadows. I thought
this eggplant color would be fun since purple looks so good on brown eyes.

This liner also comes with a brush applicator.

If I like I may grab this is some other shades. (of course after Lent) :(

Have a wonderful day and Happy President's Day!

Friday Face of the Day

Happy Friday Chick a Dee's.

I have another Face of the Day (FOTD) post for you and I hope you enjoy this
look that I sported for a Valentine's date night.

Here is my face in regular lighting.

And again in natural lighting. I have to say I love this look and makeup
used Tuesday night. Lovin the smoky grey eye with light pink lip.

I feel like it's dramatic enough for a night out, but also something you can
sport around the office or wherever your everyday may be.

FACE: (See previous post for pictures)

Foundation: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour
Concealer: Estee Lauder Double Wear
Blush: MAC Cream in LadyBlush (as seen below)

Bronzer: NARS Laguna
Highlighters: MAC Cream Color Base in Shell (cream) applied first to top of
cheekbones and then set with MAC Soft & Gentle Powder.

EYES:

NEW PRODUCT!!
Clinique lid smoothie in Sassy Fras was applied all over lid as a neutral
taupe/gray to serve as primer and color base for other shadow.

NEW PRODUCT!!
After letting my lid smoothie dry I then applied this Clinique Stay
Matte shadow in the shade Slate.

It's a gorgeous matte gray that makes for a great smoky eye without being
too dark or harsh.

After applying the lid smoothie and matte shadows from Clinique I put
my NARS bronzer in my crease to warm up the look a bit and added a light
shade under my brow for a highlight shade.

Last step was adding Urban Decay Black Liner and several coats of Revlon
Photoready 3D Volume mascara.

LIPS:

I wanted to keep the lips light and neutral, but with a pop of color since
my eyes were darker.

I applied Estee Lauder lipstick in Crystal Pink and then added Revlon gloss in
Pink Pop.

Have a very happy weekend!

Friday Product Faves

Happy Friday To All! What a week this has been...

Cheers to the weekend.

So, as I did last week I am going to feature some Friday Faves of things that I have been
using this week. Enjoy and have a happy weekend.

Look who dipped into the I Love Lettuce Lush mask last night...
If I was ever in need of a pampering last night was it!

So, this is how it looked on my face. This picture does not even come close to doing
justice to how gross this stuff looked. I looked like I had a disease or had boogers smeared
all over my face!! YUCK! But, I can say it did leave my face feeling tight and re-freshed.

Sticking with green theme... I have been loving the color olive on my eyes. I did a post
about this recently and just cannot get over how pretty olive looks with brown eyes. I am
not a big green person (on my face that is) and olive just is setting very well with me
these days.
Clinique: All Spruced Up Duo
Merle Norman: Hazel

On my nails this week I did "Jules" by Zoya.
It's a champagne light gold color.
Here is the bottle.

I changed out my purses this week. This is a bag I got a couple years ago at
Shop Suey Boutique in Redlands, CA.
They do celebrity/designer inspired knock off bags.
Love me some shop suey! There bags hold up great and they are super affordable.

Can I just say I have THE BEST FRIENDS EVER! My friend Heather AKA "Buss" took
me to Cracker Barrel this week to catch up and bought my dinner. So sweet. No wait, it
doesn't stop there. I was browsing in the store after we ate and picked up a couple things
that looked appealing to me... ie the Woodwick candle in Currant and chocolate fudge.
She grabs them both and buys them for me as a sweet surprise to make me feel better.
How sweet is that? She is seriously one of the most giving sacrificial people I know.
Always looking to do something for someone else. Lessons to be learned from people
like her! Love you Buss!

And last, what other than a Labor Day treat from my mom. Those of you that know
my mom know that she is the world's best at surprises and "treats" as I like to call them.
She got this cute lavender top at this boutique shop in Cullman called
"What a Girl Wants" I believe is the name. She said they had lots of super cute
outfits... so you Cullman gals need to check it out. : )

Have a great weekend!

A Natural Take

Happy Hump Day! Half way through our short week!

I went out to dinner with a friend recently after laying around in the house for hours upon
hours watching movies with no make-up, and not brushing my teeth until I met her for dinner
at 7:30. mmmm, yummy, right?! Oh, who cares the only person that was seeing me was
Harley cat! So, I wanted to put on a bit of make-up but really natural looking since I wouldn't
be wearing it for long.

So, I thought I would share my take on what I do when I want that fresh no make-up kind of look. Now if you don't wear much make-up as it is then this may be your go to every day
look. Or, you may think I look too made up as it is, but anywhoo this is my take.

Do you like my huuur?!! I totally wore it out to dinner like that....
And my robe too... : )
j/k

Products Used:
Clinique Tinted Moisturizer
Lorac Velvet Rope blush
Mac Bronzer in shade in Refined Golden
Mac Cultured Lipglass
Clinique Lid smoothie in Gingerly
Clinique High Impact Mascara
NO EYELINER!! My key in looking more natural... ditch it!

Enjoy your day.

Weekend Rewind-What's in my Bag?

It's that time again!! Time for what you say? For my second addition of

WEEKEND REWIND... WHAT'S IN MY BAG!! Duh!

Ok, so let me start my saying I am really sad b/c I recorded my own little video for
you guys to showcase all my new stuff... I thought it would be more exciting and change
things up, but it won't upload! : ( I'm going to have to take my computer to the Apple
store pronto. Something seems to be wrong lately.

Ok, so enough of that... here are the products I picked up this week/weekend.

Clinique has a new cream shadow called Lid Smoothie. They are an 8 hour water resistant
shadow that dries to more of a powder finish! I bought one of these in the color
gingerly. If you look at the picture below gingerly is the neutral champagne honey
color. It's a gorgeous nude color that you can pair with a matte brown in your crease!
If you have tried the Clinique Quick Eyes Cream Shadow it is similar to that, but different. I used the color, "rock violet" a lot last year. I personally like the new, lid smoothie better
b/c it dries to more of a powder finish. They have a taupe color in this line called sassy-fras
that is soooo pretty that I would love to try as well.

BLUSH!! I've really been feeling cheek products lately. So, I have been on the hunt
for a while for a great light pink/rose colored blush. I have corals, hot pink, and other
shades, but nothing in a pink/neutral. So, I originally bought the Maybelline FitMe
blush in the color "Medium pink." I tried it one day and was so disappointed... it was
so sheer you couldn't even see it on my skin. So, I returned it to Ulta and picked up this Lorac
blush in the color "Velvet Rope." I have been eyeballing this blush for a month or so.
It's a baked matte blush and it's pigmentation is incredible! It takes just a light
dab of this on your brush for it to go a LONG way! When I was exchanging the Maybelline
for Lorac the girl at the counter was like... oh, you are going to be so much happier with this blush! And yes, yes I am!
Another Clinique purchase. Belk has their gift going. This eye duo is called "spruced up."
I will say... I believe this is my favorite purchase of the week! I have been wanting an
olive green color for fall. You know what made me decide that? Did you watch this past
season of The Bachelorette? Well, Ashley had green on her eyes quite often and it made
her brown eyes look GORGEOUS!! So, I was happy to find this duo. I have used it for
the past few days and LOVE it! I really feel like these colors made brown eyes really pop!
Picked up this Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow brush at Target Circles on clearance.
It was $12.99 and was marked down to $3.84. Actually using this for concealer.

Another cheek product! Told you I was into cheeks! This is by Jemma Kidd and it's called
"Dewy glow all over radiance cream" in the color "rose gold." I learned about
this product on youtube from my girls, Pixiwoo. It's a great summer product for
highlighting your cheekbones to give you that dewy fresh glow to your skin!

Target started selling her line this spring, but you can't find this product there. I bought
mine from a company called www.b-glowing.com. I think this product could
last you a lifetime b/c it only requires a bit of this to get the look you want!

Whaaaaa? Another nail polish! Yes, oh yes! So, I am going to Destin, FL this weekend
with family and a best friend and her little boy. I wanted a color that said tropical and
this one does it. It's by Essie and it's called "Turquoise and Caicos." I think I bought
this shade as much for the name as the color. ha. Yes, I wanted a blue color b/c it is
a bit more out of my comfort zone, but the name makes me happy. I have been planning
a Caribbean vacation for the girls in my life.. mom and nana... and we actually looked into
visiting Turks and Caicos! We ended up picking Mexico instead, but maybe another time
I will get to visit the real Turks other than on my nails!

So, there you go. Hope you enjoyed this week's edition of What's in my Bag!

What’s The Story, Brooke?

I'm Brooke. Brooke Story to be exact... hence the title of my blog. I'm southern, still barely in my twenties, and have a few too many lip glosses in my purse.
