Weekend Rewind. What's in my Bag?

This weekend I got to spend in Panama City Beach, FL with my mom and dad.
Have I mentioned this is my most favorite time of the year?! Well, just in case you
forgot.... THIS IS MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR!!! :)

I love drives to the beach. Windows down. Radio turned up loud. No make up. Comfy
clothes. Maybe a hat. Flip flops. Tan skin. Everything about summer is just easy. You
don't have to think about what to wear or what to pack. I really think I should live on
the beach for a year or two. I am dying to visit Miami this summer... any takers?! Never
been before and I SO badly want to experience their culture. I imagine my fedora hat,
some short shorts, baggy off the shoulder tops, big hoop earrings, and maybe I'll grab
a tat while I'm down there. ;) A henna of course.

Anyway, here are some snapshots of my weekend. We had great weather on Friday.
Rained all day Saturday which brought in the cold and wind. It was sunny yesterday,
but just extremely windy. I enjoyed sitting in the hot tub to stay warm.

POPCORN SCRIMP!!! I love me some bite size shrimp.

Had no idea until I got down there that some of my good friends, Mallory, Austin,
and their baby girl Finley were also down for her spring break. So, they picked me up
for dinner on Saturday night and we drove over to Rosemary Beach where they were staying.
What a cute and romantic little place!!! They rented a carriage house for the week and it
is a precious little house and community.

We had dinner at Old Florida Fish House. I ordered sauteed shrimp with cheese grits.
YUMMY in my TUMMY!!! We had some crab claws and fried green maters as well.
Good food. Good company. Fun times!

Look who made an appearance at the beach.... Millie the Maltipoo!! Ha. She loved it
minus all the sand she ate yesterday on her little walk which led to her being really sick.
I was getting pretty worried. But, alas she had a good BM this morning filled with with
clumps of sand! We are good people!

Stay tuned for the What's in my Bag part of my weekend.
I got some Beauty goodies.

Have a Sunshiny kind of day!

Weekend Rewind. What's in my Bag?

Hey Guys! I hope you had an eventful St. Patty's day weekend. I was fortunate
enough to head over to Gatlinburg, TN with a few friends for some fun and
relaxation. My friend John works for PSS, a pharmaceutical company based
out of Jacksonville, FL and he won this trip free!! Which made things even better!

So, like I did last weekend... I thought I would just do a photo roll of the weekend.
Nothing in my bag to show off... it's still Lent people... ughhh and btw it's getting
tough. This 80-90 degree weather has me in major SPRING FEVER!! I want to go
buy new spring dresses and fun shoes and bright nail polish, but alas I am remaining
good. Are you proud?! B/c you really should be.

This is the cabin we stayed in. I love the curly staircase!! So pretty.

My Saturday morning St. Patty day view!!

Ummmm... ok, this was by far one of the strangest things I have ever seen.
This past weekend was the "Clause Convention" in Gatlinburg and basically all the
Santa's from all over the world come to learn how to be better Santa's???!!!

Haha... I don't know, but they had a huge Santa parade with over 3,000 Santa Clause's.
I felt really sorry for them b/c it was 80 plus degrees and they were all decked
out in their velvet. I don't even want to know what was going on under
all those red suits!! ha.
Group picture!!
Left to Right:
Me, Jeremy (Big Daddy) Colby, and John.

What's the best part about going to the mountains???

If you are me then you say HOT TUB without thinking. I practically lived
in that thing this weekend.

And did you notice I brought my green suit for the festivities?! Got to stay in the
holiday mindset!

We ate at this Mexican place in downtown Gatlinburg called Loco something.
It was the coolest place I have ever eaten there. They have a main level, then you ride an
escalator upstairs where this is a lounge rooftop area that overlooks downtown and
in the back there is rooftop dining. The skylifts that go up the mountain are right
beside this restaurant so it makes for a really fun atmosphere. It was a little chili
by the time we started eating, but we survived.

Great food!! Fun!!

My top above is an Xhilaration top from Target. It is this season if you are interested
and they have in Navy as well. I just put a nude cami underneath.

AND here comes the fun part of the restaurant... they have a mechanical horse/donkey
not sure what that thing is. I am a major sucker for things like this. What you can't
see in my pictures is that all the people are behind me... SO, I did have an
audience. I promise I am not the only person there as it appears.

Action shot.
My longest ride was 18 seconds.... and not to brag, but that was longer
than any other girl stayed on!!

And. I'm. Done!!

I think I may have had a mild concussion after my ride... my head hurt pretty much all
day Sunday and now my neck is throbbing. NICE! Oh well, the price I pay
for being adventurous!! : )

How was your St. Patty Day weekend?! Do anything fun?!
Tell me!

Travel Size Fetish

I have a minor obsession with travel size products! I love going to a drug store
or Target and looking through all the little baby size containers.

I am on the go A-LOT!! For work, personal, trips... all kinds of stuff which I highly enjoy.
I like being busy and on the road or plane or train... ok, not train! ha. I spend more time
on the go most months than I feel like I am home. But, I truly enjoy it.

So, this is one of the main reasons I LOVE travel size items. They are so easy and practical
to throw into your bag. Much easier than trying to take your full size products
or trying to squeeze everything into plastic containers... which I do sometimes just b/c it is more affordable.

I went to Daytona Beach last week to visit with family in FL and here are some of my
favorite bite size things I brought with me!

1. CVS make up remover wipes ( a must have for on the go)
2. Eye make up remover (yay they finally have this in a mini size)
3. Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hairspray
4. Downy Wrinkle Releaser (OMG I am obsessed with this stuff... have a big bottle I keep in my closet... the best stuff for getting your clothes unwrinkled and smelling fresh after being folded and in a bag.) : )
5. Country Chic bath gel from Bath and Body ( smells great)
6. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray (not travel size but a fav)
7. Frederic Fekkai Shampoo and Conditioner in Brilliant Glossing
8. Auqafresh Toothpaste in Extreme Clean (my toothpaste of choice)

This picture above is a drawer I have devoted in my bathroom to all my travel size
products! I love that drawer. I have hairsprays, cleansers, deodorant, shampoos, conditioners,
lotions, soaps, moose, etc.

Travel size products are a great way to try products you are interested in without
investing in a regular size container.

Hope you enjoyed learning about all my bite size favs!
